It appears that all 48 passengers were killed and 1 person from the neighborhood it landed in.
It was in route from Newark, N.J. to Buffalo, N.Y.

My deepest condolences to the loved ones of the passengers and crew. This was a sad event that makes you aware of how fragile life can be and how things can change unexpectedly. Live every day of your life like it may be your last.
This is why I like Amtrak better, because you're already on the ground. I know, they crash too, but as least you "go" in one piece! And the view is much better from down here than up there. Who's in a hurry anyway? - Phred.
