DUBLIN — Police are asking for the public's help to identify a woman who tried to take a student from a Dublin school last week.
An unidentified middle-age blonde woman wearing a hot pink sweatshirt tried to sign out a 6-year-old girl at about 3:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at Saint Raymond's School on Shannon Avenue. The woman mentioned the child by name, but neither the staff nor the child recognized the woman, who appeared disheveled. After the staff checked to see who has authorization to sign the child out, the woman had left.
Although no crime took place, police would like to identify the woman and find out what her intentions were, said Dublin Police Lt. Glenn Moon.
The woman may have gotten the student's name by looking at the pages of the school's sign-out ledger, which she had been looking through at the time.
There have been no other similar incidents reported in Dublin or in the surrounding area, but police ask anyone with information to call Detective Scott Busby at 925-833-6667.

Thank goodness the staff at the school were doing their jobs properly..Kudo's to them!Hopefully the police will be able to track this lady down.Perhaps all schools in the area should be sent a warning?
Thanks for the story.
Here Here! I just sent this story to the secretary at our school to be on the lookout. It's always a good reminder when "stranger danger awareness" get lax.
